Higher guarantee for snow in the Zeller Bergbahnen ski resort thanks to TRM
Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM) has been supporting Zeller Bergbahnen GmbH & Co KG for a very demanding project for a period of two years. Technical snowmaking in the ski area is to be expanded to over 100 hectares. TRM supplies pipes in nominal diameters DN 80 to DN 700 for a total length of almost twelve kilometers. The ductile pipes must withstand pressure levels up to 100 bar. For Tiroler Rohre GmbH, this represents one of the largest projects for technical snowmaking application. As a longtime associate of Zeller Bergbahnen, our experienced company is the best partner for such a project. In spring 2018 some employees of the Zillertal Arena ski-area association, including „Schneemeister“ Hannes Mittner, were able to get an idea of pipe production by themselves at TRM plant in Hall. The Rosenalm snow plant has been in operation since 1992 and has been constantly extended in the last 23 years to match the ever increasing demands. As a result of the current project, twelve hectares of additional snow-making area will be built in the Rosenalm area to Kreuzjoch / Karspitz / Kreuzwiesen. For the supply with water, an additional pond of 145,000 m³ volume will be built. This is an additional guarantee for the ski resort to get enough snow for the skiing season.
