New supply line in the Stiefingtal

Water association "Leibnitzfeld Wasserversorgung GmbH" is building a new supply line in the Stiefingtal in Styria. The delivery of materials for the 5790 meter long transport water pipeline is provided by Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM). The project, launched in March 2018, provides for the integration of the new line into the existing network. This results in a new connection between the existing transport lines in Feiting and Pirching. For this construction project, which will be completed in autumn 2018, TRM pipes with the special PUR-TOP coating with a nominal diameter of DN 250 are installed to ensure optimum water supply. The new pipeline runs along farmland and the country road. Furthermore, the "Bärndorfbach” stream flows under the road and is susceptible to flooding, thus, appropriate flood protection measures will be installed. Manhole structures with automatically operating valves will be installed at the pipeline highpoints, while over ground hydrants and manhole structures with drainage facilities will be installed at the low points. Otherwise, the proven, restrained VRS-T connections will be used throughout the construction project. As an additional protection for the socket joints, shrink sleeves are attached. The PUR-TOP pipe of Tiroler Rohre GmbH is characterized by its particularly high load capacity. This allows the material to be used in soils of any corrosivity. This special coating is ideal for the soil conditions in the local area of Heiligenkreuz am Waasen.
