New water pipes for Chisinau, Republic of Moldova

Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM) has been successfully producing water pipes from ductile iron for more than 70 years. Due to their high quality, these are mainly used for drinking water transport. These pipes from the heart of the Tyrolean Alps are currently being built in the Greater Chisinau area. Over a distance of more than 60 kilometers, pipes in nominal widths from DN 50 up to DN 300 are used there. Of these, TRM supplies the cast iron pipe section of four kilometers in nominal widths of DN 250 and DN 300. The old water pipes are replaced to supply the inhabitants. In addition to the main lines themselves, the supply lines to the houses are also renewed. The project involves work in the capital itself as well as in the suburbs of Tohatin, Vatra and Durliti. Chisinau is the capital of the Republic of Moldova and has more than 530.000 inhabitants. This makes it the most populated city in Moldova and covers an area of 120 km².
