The Institute of Geomechanics and Geotechnics organises the Pile Symposium at TU Braunschweig every two years. After the cancellation in 2021 due to the pandemic, the upcoming 17th pile symposium in 2023 will again be a forum for all experts who feel connected to this topic. From the large number of proposals for contributions received, it was possible to put together an interesting programme of current topics that will hopefully stimulate intensive discussions.
