Cyber-attack on Tiroler Rohre GmbH

On 1st June 2022, Tiroler Rohre GmbH became the target of an external cyber-attack. As an immediate preventive measure, all of the company's IT systems were immediately shut down in a controlled manner, which led to isolated disruptions to the company's general operations as well as its accessibility by e-mail.

Our company is prepared for such a scenario and immediately set up a task force of internal and external IT experts as well as data forensic specialists, who carried out a thorough investigation of the incident. In parallel, the responsible authorities have been informed and a criminal charge has been filed.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our IT experts and all our employees, we have made very good progress in the last few days. The affected IT systems could be gradually and safely restarted, so that we were able to return to normal business operations in all areas.

According to current knowledge, the attack was specifically directed against Tiroler Rohre GmbH and not against our customers or business partners. There are currently no indications that data of our customers or business partners are affected by the incident. The security of our customers and business partners and their data always has the highest priority for Tiroler Rohre GmbH, we will therefore continue to take all necessary measures to protect them comprehensively.
