Solid foundation for Hangar 4 with TRM Piling Systems

Challenging ground conditions at Zell am See airfield required an innovative solution. The non-load-bearing peat layers made a classic shallow foundation impossible, which is why 150 TRM ductile driven piles were used. These ensure a safe and efficient deep foundation by tapping into deeper, load-bearing soil layers. The rapid installation and high load-bearing capacity of the piles enabled cost-effective implementation and scheduled completion by autumn 2024.
