A project of superlatives took place in the summer of 2017 in the Axamer Lizum. True to the motto "little time, but a lot to do", the snow-making infrastructure of the area was renewed between August and November 2017 and laid over 10 kilometers of snow-making lines in the former Olympic ski resort. Six laying teams were in action and laid around 250 meters of pipes per day. Since then, the entire range of TRM products has been in use in the ski resort to ensure the snowmaking of around 108 hectares of piste.
In addition, the water required for snowmaking no longer has to be pumped upwards from the valley, but can be taken directly from the new reservoir pond "Dohlennest". It holds around 255,000 cubic meters of water and can be emptied within 48 hours using our DN600 basic relief pipe. The TRM pipe systems are designed for this project with a capacity of up to 500 liters per second.
