PUR Longlife pipes of the Tyrolean manufacturer with a nominal diameter of DN250 were installed over a length of 1800 meters. These serve as fire extinguishing pipes and thus ensure maximum safety in the cartonboard mill. In addition to the positive properties of the restraine locking system and the high quality of the pipes, the FM approval of the TRM pipe system in particular was a decision criterion for the pipes from Austria.  The new DS Smith plant will create 200 jobs. The company is a leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly packaging made of corrugated board. At the beginning of 2022, production of corrugated board packaging for transport, e-commerce and industry will begin at the new factory. Every seventh cardboard packaging in Europe and every tenth in Poland is produced by DS Smith.
