Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM) has been successfully producing ductile pipelines for more than 70 years. Due to their high quality, these are mainly used for drinking water transport. These pipes are currently being built from the heart of the Tyrolean Alps in the Greater Chisinau area. Over a distance of more than 60 kilometers, pipelines in nominal sizes DN 50 up to DN 300 are used there. Of these, TRM supplies the ductile iron pipe section of four kilometers in the nominal widths DN 250 and DN 300.
The old water pipes are replaced to supply the inhabitants. In addition to the main lines themselves, the supply lines to the residential buildings are renewed. The project involves work in the capital itself as well as in the suburbs of Tohatin, Vatra and Durliti. Chisinau is the capital of the Republic of Moldova and has more than 530,000 inhabitants. This makes it the most populated city in Moldova and covers an area of 120 km².
