Tiroler Rohre GmbH has always been considered a specialist in the field of ductile pipe construction. But this reputation is not limited to Austria and Europe. The reputation of cast products from the heart of the Alps is also great in North America. In the summer of 2018, for example, just under 3.5 kilometers of new pipes from Tiroler Rohre GmbH were laid at the Sunday River ski resort in Maine in the northeastern United States.
Pressure pipes with a nominal diameter of DN 500 were used. This replaced the old, rusted steel pipes. At the same time, this pipe system allows the ski resort to double its snowmaking capacity. The Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry is one of the largest and most visited ski resorts in Maine with 16 lifts, 135 runs and eight summits.
