Rinn

Power plant Oberlavieren

At the beginning of April 2018, pipelines were replaced in the course of renovation work by the municipal utilities Rinn in the area of the power plant Oberlavieren. On a length of 160 meters, around 50 vertical meters were climbed on seven working days and new water pipes were installed. PUR-TOP coated pipes from Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM) with a nominal diameter of DN 300 of pipe class K14 (permissible component operating pressure PFA 63) were used. These tubes are characterized by their special coating, which is very well suited for use in moist soils. With ductile iron pipes, which, among other things, have a protective layer of 200g zinc per square meter, TRM was able to score as a regional manufacturer.

The work was carried out independently by the municipal utilities Rinn, Managing Director Florian Kiechl proudly. Only the spider excavator and the winch, which were needed for work in extremely steep terrain, had to be rented from companies in the area, Kiechl continued. Finally, two more days of work await the employees of the municipal enterprises. In the process, the working road above the power plant is planted again and a few drains are laid to dewater the damp soil. In coordination with the state forestry management, it is planned to reforest the route. Here are hardwood trees and willow sticks used and give the slope additional strength.

Safe water supply.
