Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM) has been supporting Zeller Bergbahnen GmbH & Co KG for a very demanding project for two years. The snowmaking area in the ski area is to be expanded to over 100 hectares. TRM supplies pipes in nominal widths DN 80 to DN 700 with a total length of just under twelve kilometers. The ductile pipes must withstand pressure levels up to PN100. For Tiroler Rohre GmbH, this represents one of the largest projects in the area of snow-making. As a longtime partner of Zeller Bergbahnen, this long-established company has made the most of this task.
In the spring of 2018, some employees of the Zillertal Arena Ski Area Alliance, including Snow Master Hannes Mittner, were able to get an idea of pipe production themselves at the TRM factory in Hall. The Rosenalm snow plant has existed since 1992 and has been staggered in the last 23 years to meet the ever increasing demands. As a result of the current project, scarcely twelve hectares of additional snow-making area will be constructed in the Rosenalm area to Kreuzjoch / Karspitz / Kreuzwiesen and the existing snow-making system will be compacted. For the provision of water, an additional pond of 145,000 m³ volume will be built. This guarantees the company additional snow security.
Safe water supply.
