In May down under in Australia, the 20th ICSMGE took place, where two separate studies about the TRM Piling System were presented.
Assessing the bearing capacity of driven cast iron piles using different design approaches
and comparison with test results
(authors: Jan Lüking & Meike Katharina Dimpker, Florian Hörtkorn und Erich Steinlechner)
This study, based on our recent flagship project, AMAS Bahrain looks in detail at the performance of the TRM Grouted pile on this project, as well as analysing the results of the mass amount of testing which was carried out. As the ground conditions were relatively special on this project, it was especially interesting for us to show what our piling system can really do.
Numerical simulation of driven displacement piles with respect to installation effects
on the basis of in-situ test results
(authors: Johannes Berndt, Ann-Kristin Hundertmark & Oliver Reul)
The TRM Piling System is a full displacement pile, this means that no ground is removed, thus it could be said that the ground is somewhat compacted, potentially increasing the performance of the surrounding soils.
