Snow, speed and TRM

Preparations for the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Gurgl in November 2023 are in full swing. To ensure the best snow for the race, new snowmaking systems with a 2.5 km long pipeline have been installed.

The TRM ductile cast iron pipe system was used to withstand the water pressure. The pipes with a diameter of DN300 and DN150 and a PUR-Longlife coating can withstand up to 100 bar and can be flexibly angled thanks to the use of the VRS®-T connection.

Thanks to the quick and easy installation of the TRM pipe system, the construction period is limited to June to November 2023, meaning that the project was completed in time for the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Gurgl.
