Wels expands

The eww group is responsible for the Wels water supply network. To ensure the best drinking water for the citizens of Wels, the water provider invests several million euros in its drinking water network every year. This was also the case in 2019 and 2020. Thereby, ductile iron pipes of the "PUR Longlife" type were installed in nominal widths from DN80 to DN500 from Tiroler Rohre GmbH. New pipes from the traditional Tyrolean company were relocated or existing ones renewed over a distance of 2,500 meters. In addition, a new elevated tank was built to further expand the security of supply in the city of Wels. Another, already existing elevated tank was overhauled. The Wels drinking water comes from the stream of ground water in the Bettenbachrinne and is natural, fresh from the spring and not prepared. By using drinking water and avoiding plastic bottles, every citizen also makes a contribution to environmental protection.
