Strong performance in difficult terrain

In the heart of the Dolomites, in the South Tyrolean municipality of Tiers, the Lippen hydropower plant was successfully completed to sustainably harness the energy of the Kalterer Bach. For the challenging pressure pipeline spanning 1,700 meters with an elevation difference of about 1,200 meters, TRM supplied robust DN 500 cast iron pipes with the flexible VRS^®-T joint, perfectly suited for difficult alpine conditions. Despite complex terrain challenges and limited space, the project was completed on schedule. The power plant now reliably produces environmentally friendly electricity for the region.
