Renovation and New Construction Indoor Swimming Pool & Hotel Project, Neusiedl (Austria)
As part of the renovation and extension of the indoor swimming pool in Neusiedl and the construction of the new Sonnenresort Neusiedl hotel project, a comprehensive piled foundation system was implemented to ensure safe load transfer for the new structures. Special attention was given to the different building components – swimming hall, pool facilities, water slide, outdoor areas, and the new hotel building – each of which required stable and precise foundations.
A total of 260 ductile driven cast iron piles of type TRM 118/7.5 mm were installed for the foundation works. The total installed pile length amounted to approximately 2,500 meters.
The piles were designed and executed in close coordination with the geotechnical supervision by Baugrund Wien ZT Ges.m.b.H., ensuring that the works could be carried out smoothly both in the area of the existing swimming facility and on the site of the new hotel construction.
The piled foundation works were carried out between June and December 2025. The project demonstrates the flexibility and load-bearing capacity of the TRM ductile driven pile system, particularly in complex construction projects with heterogeneous requirements and challenging subsoil conditions.
