Gulf High School Addition
The Pasco County School District in Florida constructed a new 2-story addition to Gulf High School, covering roughly 8,361 square meters. Due to challenges such as heavy building loads and poor subgrade soils, the design team opted for Ductile Iron Piles (DIPs) instead of traditional driven pipe piles, selecting the TRM 118/7.5 piles which were non-grouted end bearing piles, founded on competent limestone.
Earth Tech installed 853 Ductile Iron Piles ranging from 3 to 27.4 meters deep, with an impressive installation speed of approximately 270 linear meters per day.
