Reliable solution for the water supply of snow-making systems in Stubai (Austria)

The Stubai Valley is known for offering excellent winter sports facilities and, with the Stubai Glacier, one of the largest glacier areas located in the Alps, provides ideal conditions for skiers and snowboarders. As part of the project “Upgrading the snowmaking facilities” 2022 to 2024, TRM took on the challenge of ensuring a reliable water supply for the snowmaking facilities in this high alpine region. The extreme climatic conditions and the short construction period required precise planning and efficient implementation.

TRM supplied around 2,800 meters of pipes in 2022, with a total of around 10,500 meters installed by the time the project was completed in 2024. The main pipes range from DN 80 to DN 400, including the emergency drain in DN 600, and can withstand a maximum operating pressure of 100 bar. The use of VRS^®-T joints and the resistant PUR Longlife coating guarantee a high level of reliability and durability in the harsh conditions of the Alps.

Thanks to TRM's good work preparation and fast response times, the project was completed within the short time frame (each year from May to October). The excellent cooperation of all those involved contributed significantly to the success of this project and ensured smooth implementation.
